Frequently Asked Questions
How do I request a medication refill?
Call our office at 334-887-8707 and allow 2–3 business days for processing. New prescriptions and controlled substances require an in-person appointment. Please do not wait until you are out of medication · contact us a week in advance when possible.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes. Walk-in urgent care is available at our Bent Creek location during all open hours, including Saturday mornings. No appointment is needed for non-emergency illnesses and injuries. For routine primary care visits, calling ahead to schedule is preferred.
What ages do you treat?
Newborns through seniors. APAM is a true family practice · we see patients at every stage of life, from a baby's first well-child visit to elderly adults managing multiple chronic conditions. Your entire family can see providers under one roof.
When should I call vs. come in?
Call us for prescription questions, minor symptoms you can describe, test result follow-up, and appointment scheduling. Come in for anything that needs examination · fever, injury, rash, difficulty breathing (non-emergency), or anything that is worsening. For true emergencies, call 911.
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept most major plans including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, UHC, Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare. Call 334-887-8707 to confirm your specific plan before your first visit.
