Immunizations for every age, on a single schedule.

Vaccination is one of the most effective preventive health interventions available, and APAM delivers it across the full lifespan · from the Hepatitis B series at birth through shingles and pneumococcal vaccines in older adults. Our team follows the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations published by the CDC, which are updated annually to reflect the latest evidence on vaccine safety, efficacy, and scheduling. Whether you are bringing in your two-month-old for their first round of immunizations or a senior who has not had a Tdap booster in over a decade, we know your schedule and we keep it current.

For children, the immunization schedule is among the most evidence-reviewed protocols in medicine. It is designed not just to protect the individual child, but to maintain the community immunity that protects infants too young to be vaccinated and immunocompromised neighbors and family members who cannot receive certain vaccines. APAM's pediatric providers discuss the schedule with parents at every well-child visit, answer questions honestly, and document every vaccine in your child's permanent record · which can be transferred to schools, daycares, sports programs, and new providers without confusion.

Adult and travel immunizations.

Adults are significantly under-vaccinated compared to children, in part because primary care visits become less frequent after childhood. Vaccine-preventable illnesses including influenza, pneumonia, shingles, and pertussis cause substantial illness and hospitalization in adults every year · much of it preventable. APAM conducts an immunization review at every annual physical, so no dose is missed and no booster is overdue. We also provide travel vaccinations for patients preparing for international trips, including vaccines not routinely given on the standard schedule.

Flu season is managed proactively at APAM. Annual influenza vaccines are available as soon as the season's formulation arrives, and we stock enough to serve families, working adults, and seniors without a shortage. Getting your flu shot at your primary care practice · rather than a pharmacy · also means your provider can review your full medication list and health history before administering, ensuring compatibility and documenting appropriately.
